Incident Updates

Keep users informed with regular status updates.

Adding Updates

  1. Go to Admin → Incidents
  2. Click on the incident
  3. Click Add Update
  4. Write your message
  5. Select new status (optional)
  6. Save

Update Frequency

InvestigatingEvery 15-30 minutes
IdentifiedEvery 30-60 minutes
MonitoringEvery 1-2 hours

What to Include

Investigating

  • What symptoms are observed
  • What systems are affected
  • What you're looking into

Identified

  • What caused the issue
  • What the fix is
  • Expected resolution time

Monitoring

  • What was done to fix it
  • Current status of monitoring
  • When it will be fully resolved

Resolved

  • Summary of what happened
  • Root cause (if appropriate)
  • Prevention measures taken

Example Updates

Investigating

"We are investigating reports of increased latency affecting the API. Our team is actively looking into this issue."

Identified

"The issue has been identified as a database connection problem. We are working on scaling up our database cluster. ETA: 30 minutes."

Resolved

"This incident has been resolved. The issue was caused by a sudden spike in traffic. We have increased capacity to prevent future occurrences."

Notifications

When you add an update:

  • Email subscribers are notified
  • Webhooks are triggered
  • Update appears on status page
