Component Groups

Organize related components into logical groups.

What are Groups?

Component groups help organize your status page by grouping related services together. For example:

Infrastructure
├── API Server
├── Database
└── Cache

Frontend
├── Website
├── Dashboard
└── Mobile App

Integrations
├── Payment Processing
├── Email Service
└── SMS Gateway

Creating Groups

  1. Go to Admin → Component Groups
  2. Click Add Group
  3. Enter group name
  4. Assign to a status page
  5. Save

Assigning Components

When creating or editing a component:

  1. Select the group from the dropdown
  2. Save the component

Display Options

Expand by DefaultGroups start expanded
Collapse by DefaultGroups start collapsed
Show Group StatusAggregate status indicator

Ordering

  • Drag groups to reorder them
  • Drag components within groups
  • Move components between groups

Group Status

Group status is determined by the worst status of its components:

  • All operational → Group is operational
  • One degraded → Group shows degraded
  • One major outage → Group shows major outage
